Happy Hollow Farm Walk

The Lincoln University Cooperative Extension’s Integrated Pest Management Program is sponsoring two organic farm tours this month. Due to rain, the Happy Hollow (Jamestown, MO) farm walk has been rescheduled from August 7th to Tuesday, August 26th, from 4:30-6:30pm. Speakers will be discussing some of the challenges that organic crop and pest management present to farmers. 

The afternoon’s agenda will include:

  • Farm overview and organic certification
  • Organic management squash bugs and cucumber beetles in Cucurbits
  • How to identify and manage organically the most common diseases in tomatoes
  • Spotted Wing Drosophila overview and organic management options. Free monitoring traps and bait!
  • Farm walk and hands-on diseases, pest and beneficial insects identification
