So You Want to Be a Farmer?

Get the Scoop on EarthDance at Upcoming Info Sessions

2012 has brought so much exciting growth, change and opportunity for EarthDance.  Beginning with our tremendous early carrot harvest through fall’s bounty, EarthDance’s apprentice farmers grew over 6,000 lbs of food this year.  We welcomed many tour groups to the farm, including members of the Jewish Environmental Initiative, Field Biology Students from Little Creek Nature Center, and the junior green designers of Camp EarthWays.   EarthDance once again hosted Camp EarthDance, our farm-to-table camp for middle-school students.   Adam Gillespie, EarthDance’s 2012 Artist-in-Residence, did a phenomenal job organizing the Farms Rock! benefit concert.  Recently we’ve been pleased that EarthDance produce delighted the palates’ of diners at the recent Les Dames d’Escoffier‘s Farmers Fete, as well as students at Ferguson’s Central Elementary School.   And of course, in June, EarthDance was thrilled to announce that we purchased the Mueller Farm!

Currently EarthDance is accepting applications for the 2013 apprenticeship, planning for the farm’s future, and seeking opportunities for partnerships that will help us continue to sustainably grow food, farmers, and community.
