At the EarthDance Organic Farm School, it is our goal to educate members of the St. Louis community about organic farming and gardening. Field Trips are a great way to introduce students and adult learners alike to the concepts of food production. Participants will see all parts of the farm and have plenty of time to ask questions. Field Trips can be scheduled: Thursdays & Fridays between 8:00am & 4:00pm.
All Field Trips include:
- A short lecture about the history and mission of EarthDance
- A farm tour that will include detailed information about farm functions
- Sample of crops right from the farm
Some of the stops on our tours include:
- Vegetable production rows
- Composting bins
- Herb areas
- Rainwater catchment system
- Native flower gardens
- Seven Generations Garden (Hugelkultur, Multi-Story Guild, No till garden beds, companion plantings, sheet-mulching techniques)
Please let us know if you want to cover a specific topic during your farm field trip! Depending on the age of attendees we can incorporate lessons into your field trip.
Examples lessons include:
- Extra educational activities for your kiddos
- Basic plant needs
- Food Systems
Field trips are typically 60 minutes long with possible extension if interested in either educational lessons or hands-on volunteering.
**For student groups preK-12, field trips are $50 for up to 20 students. For 21-40 students field trips are $100 **

EarthDance family members can’t stop talking about what we do and the importance of the Good Food Movement! While we would love to have as many people out to the farm as possible, we realize that is not always feasible. But don’t worry, we can come to you!
If you are interested in hosting an EarthDance staff member at your speaking engagement, please reach out to Kaitie Adams at firstname.lastname@example.org or at the office at 314-521-1006.
