EarthDance Celebrates Small FARMS with PESTO FESTO 3!

Food, Art, Relationships, and Music… Sustainably

November 6, 6:30 – 10pm at the Savoy

Pesto Festo is EarthDance’s premier fundraising celebration of the year and includes live music, local food, live art, a silent auction, The EarthDance Mission Awards, and much more. Located at the historic Savoy in Ferguson, Missouri, on Nov 6th, it is a confluence of community and an opportunity to give thanks for the year’s harvest. Much of the food that will be served at Pesto Festo is even grown by EarthDance farm apprentices just 1 mile from the event! St. Louis Earth Day’s Recycling on the Go program is assisting EarthDance in making the event near zero waste. Festo-goers will dance to the tunes of the Maple Jam Band, bid on “live” art created right before their eyes, and meet this year’s incredible EarthDance Mission Award honorees!

The EarthDance Mission Awards

Just as EarthDance first honored lifelong organic farmer Caroline Mueller in 2008, we will continue to honor a local farmer or gardener each year for their contribution to the sustainable agriculture movement. In addition, we want our mission of growing and inspiring local FARMS – Food, Art, Relationships, and Music, Sustainably – to resonate by awarding also a local artist, community activist, and musician for their contribution to creating vibrant sustainable communities.

Pesto Festo 2009 was a grand success!

Over 250 attendees enjoyed the festivities and we raised $10,000 from the event! WOW! Thank you to all those who had a great time Nov. 7^th at the Savoy in Ferguson, and enjoyed amazing food, awesome music, inspiring art and a foot-stompin’ good time! And, thanks to St. Louis Earth Day’s “Recycling on the Go” event greening program, we were able to divert 99% of our waste from the event!
