A farm-inspired celebration featuring a locavore feast, a bumper crop of live and silent auction items, and toe-tappin’ live music. Feast, bid, and dance, to benefit St. Louis’ own nationally-recognized Organic Farm School!
EarthDance’s “farmraiser” enables the organization to sustain its Farm and Garden Apprenticeship Program, offer employment to youth, donate produce to needy families, and develop the Organic Farm School’s campus into a beautiful, innovative learning environment.
Farmers Formal takes place at the Sheet Metal Workers Grand Hall on Chouteau. Award-winning KSDK reporter Heidi Glaus will emcee the festivities. The feast will commence with an appetizer crafted for the occasion by Chef Rex Hale, the executive chef of Basso, Restaurant At The Cheshire, and Three Sixty at the Ball Park Hilton. Enjoy local libations provided by Square One Brewery, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, and St. James Winery. Dine on a meal featuring EarthDance’s fresh ingredients, prepared by Russo’s Catering, and pies prepared by EarthDance’s young farmers, with assistance from the ladies of Les Dames d’Escoffier. Come out and bid on the live and silent auctions, including a stay at an organic farm eco-lodge in Costa Rica, a wild fermentation party, and a Colorado mountain getaway! The evening will conclude with dancing to the old time folk music of Contrabandwagon.
Bid, feast, and dance the night away. Tickets are available for purchase at three tiers with individualized perks. Benefactors ($250) will receive a locally sourced artisan food or beverage to take home, as well as a homemade pie to spruce up their Thanksgiving table. Patrons ($150) will choose an artisan food or beverage, and all event Guests ($100) will receive a signature Farmers Formal tea towel. All tickets include parking, open bar, appetizers, dinner, and entertainment.
