Note from the Founder

And then there was FALL!

Fall is always a beautiful time on the farm. We encourage you to visit the farm in the next two months while the fields are still a buzz with people – right now HARVEST is the name of the game. Soon the fields will be turned to cover crops to give the soil that much needed reprieve and blanket of vegetation for the winter. Applications for next year’s Farm & Garden Apprenticeship will open on September 20th! If you’re interested in joining next year’s amazing class of budding farmers and gardeners, now is the time to visit, take a tour, or volunteer.

This year’s apprentices are truly inspirational people that all of us staff at EarthDance have been very blessed to get to know throughout these last five months. On October 4th, this year’s class will graduate! But still, many of them will join us for some October harvests as continuing members of our Community Supported Agriculture program. While these commencement ceremonies are always so bittersweet, the smile that always comes to my face at this time of year is a knowing that these people are going to be taking their skills and knowledge from EarthDance and making this world a greener, tastier, and more equitable place to live and EAT.

Farm ON~
